The quake at the Norwegian ski association continues. The interim solution on the coaching position is no longer interested.
Norway’s ski jumper does not come to rest. After the manipulation scandal at the Nordic Ski World Cup, there is now the next personnel change. Interim coach Bine Norčič put down his office just three days after his appointment and left the World Cup in Oslo prematurely.
“I don’t want to be part of this chaos that is currently there,” said the Slovenian of the daily “VG”. Norčič was initially appointed interim coach on Monday after the suspension of chief coach Magnus Brevig. He should look after the team at the upcoming World Cups in Oslo and Vikersund.
However, the previous assistant trainer did not want to take on this task. There was no consultation with him beforehand whether he wanted to exercise this post at all. “It was announced a little too quickly that I will be the boss,” said Norčič, who previously worked as the head coach of the US women.
In an interview with a Slovenian portal, Norčič explained that the events at the World Cup had “fever and a nervous breakdown”. The Slovenian was there in Trondheim as part of the supervisor, but emphasized that he knew nothing of the manipulations of the suits of the Springer Marius Lindvik and Johann André Forfang, who was also also suspended. “I was not involved and am also not the goal of the investigations by the World Association,” he clarified.
Now the former world -class jumper Anders Fannemel takes over the care of the Norwegian team. Norčič, on the other hand, returns to his previous task in the Continental Cup.
