HSV professional Emir Sahiti is unlikely to play another game for Maccabi Tel Aviv. The 27-year-old Kosovo international left Israel with his family due to the tense security situation resulting from the Iran war. The offensive player, who has been on loan to the Israeli club from Hamburger SV since January, was already missing from the 4-1 win against Hapoel Haifa. According to reports, the club assumes that Sahiti will not return.

The Israeli league recently resumed play, but still without spectators due to ongoing rocket attacks. Foreign players had previously been free to leave the country. While some professionals returned, Sahiti and another player refused to return. His loan contract runs until June 30th, after which he is tied to HSV until 2027.

The Hamburger SV footballers have to do without top performer Victoria Schulz in the Bundesliga relegation battle. The 27-year-old central defender will be out for several weeks due to a torn outer ligament and a partial tear of the inner ligament in her right foot, the club announced.

The dates for the HSV games of the season have been set. For the club this means: three matches on Saturdays and one game on Sunday – this makes planning much easier for fans.
