North Holland is preparing for a sun-drenched Pentecost weekend

Again (almost) everyone has a nice long weekend off thanks to Pentecost. You would almost forget last spring’s rain: because it will be sun-drenched days off, predicts NH weatherman Jan Visser.

It was the wettest spring ever recorded. Nevertheless, it has been dry almost everywhere in the province for 14 days now, Visser says on NH Radio. The drought continues this weekend: sun, sun, sun. This is because we are currently in a strong high pressure area. Today it remains around 17 degrees.

During the weekend there will be a reasonable wind, around wind force 5. There is no need to worry about a weather change, there is not a cloud in the sky and it will be around 19 degrees. On Sunday the temperature will rise to about 20 degrees.

20 degrees plus

Whit Monday, so Monday, there is a small dip. Fortunately, the sun shows itself a lot, but the temperature is lower: around 17 degrees. “That will also be the case on Tuesday, but the days after that will get really warmer. Around the turn of the month we will hit temperatures of 20 degrees plus!”, says Visser.
