Women’s regional league Viktoria Berlin increases the management. In addition to the previous managing director Lisa Währer, Ariane Hingst is taking over the sporting area as the new managing director. The club announced this.

The two-time soccer world champion hungst is one of the six women who took over the women’s team at the beginning of the season with the goal of getting into the Bundesliga in the next five years.

“It’s amazing what we’ve accomplished since we started the project last year FC Viktoria Berlin started: excitement in the stands and winning the championship,” said Hingst, who decides on transfers and the coaching staff in her new role.

Viktoria secured the title in the Regionalliga Nordost last Sunday and will play the relegation game against Hamburger SV on June 11th and 18th for promotion to the second division.
