It can mainly be seen on the road surface and the edges of the footpath. The bumper pieces are literally on the floor and the asphalt is damaged. These problems must be solved with the new bridge.
What should it look like soon? “We then have a nice final new situation. The traffic flows well, there are no strange corners in the way,” says Vlieg. “And we have a nice bridge that again meets this time.”
Before the time comes, the traffic, both by road and in the water, does have to deal with nuisance. “The new bridge is being built next to the existing bridge. Only there is an overlap in it, so we will not escape the old bridge. That will be mid -November and then the process will close here for about half a year,” said the project leader.
That will be a detour, because there is no temporary bridge as a replacement. Vlieg: “We are already working on a stamp and then also a bridge, is not an option.” The province advises the traffic that goes to Veenhuizen and Norg via the A28, exit Vries, to drive, because the advisory route ‘has to go on proportional roads’.
