There are no trains running to and from Schiphol due to a broken overhead line, the NS reports. Initially the outage seemed to last until 10:30 PM, but the end time has now been delayed to 2:00 AM.
Two trains are stranded between Hoofddorp and Amsterdam airport, passengers are being removed from the trains.
Travelers are advised to travel to their destination in a different way.
Of the four tracks at Schiphol, two were already out of service due to work.
