The KNVB cup tournament has not become a nice boys’ book for amateur club DEM. The Beverwijkers lost at their own sports park Adrichem against Excelsior Maassluis. Giovanni da Fonseca’s goal in the 67th minute made the decision.
As a result, the amateurs from Maassluis advance to the eighth finals of the national cup tournament. They can dream of a beautiful next poster. The second divisionist eliminated FC Volendam in the previous round. That match also ended 1-0. The draw is on Thursday evening.

After a dazzling prelude with a light show for around thirteen hundred spectators, DEM was unable to pull any punches. The home team missed Raymond de Waard.
