Isabella Goebel remains a partner of Sinn GmbH, the Hagen fashion house said on Monday. At the creditor meeting of the insolvent fashion chain, the creditors voted for the offer of the previous owner. Goebel prevailed against a competing purchase of JC Switzerland Holding, the parent company of the Düsseldorf fashion retailer Peek & Cloppenburg.
Originally, only one offer was to be coordinated at the assembly scheduled for the end of April. Surprisingly, however, a second bankruptcy plan was submitted. In addition to the already known purchase interest of Peek & Cloppenburg, which was approved by the Federal Cartel Office in February, Goebel also submitted its own offer at short notice.
With the decision it is now clear that Sinn will continue to be continued under the direction of the previous owner. The assumed bankruptcy plan provides for all 34 locations and around 1,500 jobs. The company headquarters in Hagen also remains.

Now the new and at the same time old owner thanked the creditors: inside for their trust – as well as the employees who “showed full commitment at any time and fought for the company”.
With the decision, the second bankruptcy of meaning is slowly coming to an end within four years. After compliance with the deadlines, the Hagen district court can hire the insolvency proceedings on the company’s assets in the coming weeks. This means that meaning is considered to be renovated.
