Nitrous oxide user drives on the A9 at 30 kilometers per hour

The police stopped a motorist on Sunday morning who had recently exhibited dangerous driving behavior on the A9. According to another motorist, he was driving 30 kilometers per hour in the left lane with a balloon in his mouth.

The witness decided to call the police and then continued to report the position of the nitrous oxide user. After officers checked the driver (a 23-year-old man from Delft) on the Holterbergweg in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, they found a bottle of laughing gas. They have recorded his details so that he can be fined or prosecuted later and informed the CBR.

The twenty-something from Delft and the other passengers, who had probably also used laughing gas, were no longer allowed to get behind the wheel. “Laughing gas is not prohibited for nothing. In addition to the fact that its use can affect health, it has a detrimental effect on driving skills,” the police wrote on Instagram.
