Around 250 athletes aged 16 and over are taking part in Ninja Warrior Germany.

This year there is something new in the preliminary round. Instead of a duel course, there is now a round of the Endless Ladder to Heaven at the end of each show. The best ninja can secure the direct final ticket in addition to 5,000 euros.

Who was able to qualify for the semi-finals in the third broadcast? For whom, however, was it the end of the line? Who grabbed the direct final ticket on the Endless Ladder to Heaven? sport.de provides the answers!

  • The showdown at the Endless Ladder to Heaven

In this season of Ninja Warrior Germany, the four best candidates meet at the Endless Ladder to Heaven at the end of each preliminary round show. This isn’t just about winning the day, but in addition to a cash reward of 5,000 euros, it’s also about a direct ticket for the final.

Daniel Schmidt, as the best of the day, secured participation in the Endless Ladder to Heaven. The police officer delivered a sparkling clean performance on the course with a time of 1 minute and 50 seconds. Behind them were Joel Mattli (2:13.49), Stefan Angermeier (2:31.61) and Giovanni Ertl (2:38.89).

As is well known, the cards are then reshuffled again at the Endless Ladder to Heaven. The first was Giovanni Ertl, who made it to the 25th rung. Daniel Schmidt (27th rung) also missed finishing.

It ultimately came down to a heart-stopping finale between Joel Mattli and Stefan Angermeier. Both ninjas were able to finish. However, Angermeier (20.37) managed to climb the 30 rungs 24 hundredths faster than Mattli (20.61) and thus secured the day’s victory.

  • Schüßler on, Sigmund out

Arleen Schüßler and Benni Sigmund have been the best part of the show for years. This time the preliminary round for the ninja couple was completely different.

First, Schüßler delivered a strong performance and finished the course in a time of 4 minutes and 27 seconds. The 31-year-old even tried the mega wall, but it wasn’t successful. “I feel really, really good,” revealed Schüßler on the RTL microphone.

For her partner Benni Sigmund, however, it was already surprisingly over in the preliminary round. A mistake in the jackpot was the fate of the co-favorite.

  • The obstacles in the Ninja Warrior course

In the third preliminary round show, the ninjas first had to do the five jump to the plank walk. The jackpot then went to the fidget spinners. Anyone who could also master the swing arm (trunk) and the beehive finally had the choice between the wall and the mega wall.

At the end of the preliminary round show, the four best ninjas dueled on the endless ladder to heaven for the day’s victory. In the third broadcast you had to at least get to the beehive to have a chance of getting to the next round.

In addition to Stefan Angermeier, who has already secured his ticket to the final, Daniel Schmidt, Joel Mattli, Giovanni Ertl, Michel Siedler, Christian Kirstges, Milan Schirowski, Aliyi Abdellah, Markus Schweiger and Arleen Schüßler all made it into the semi-finals as finishers.

Tim Chau, Philipp Göthert, Elias Meraner and Sophia Schubert were also able to qualify for the next round.
