Nightmare for parents passed: This doctor made life’s work of the vaccine against RS virus

One in 56 healthy babies ends up exhausted in the winter with a wheezing. But if it is up to children’s infectiologist Louis Bont of the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital (WKZ) in Utrecht, that is a thing of the past from Monday. From then on, newborn babies are offered a vaccination against the RS virus.
