During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Nicolas Cage was asked to make a list of the favorite things in his life. According to the newspaper, the name of his wife, Riko Shibata, was the first to be mentioned. “I am truly happily married. I know that five times is a lot, but I think I’ve found the one now,” said the actor.
Fifth time, lucky time
Nicolas Cage was previously married to Patricia Arquette in 1995, but the two were officially divorced in 2001. In August 2002, Cage tied the knot to Lisa Marie Presley. That marriage came to an end after only three months. He was married to his third wife, Alice Kim, for a much longer period of time. The two tied the knot in 2004 and separated in 2016. With his fourth wife Erika Koike, Nicolas Cage was married again for just a few months, from March 2019 to June 2019.
So, Shibata is already the actor’s fifth wife. They gave each other the yes on February 16, 2021. 27-year-old Riko is currently also expecting her first child. Nicolas Cage himself already has two children from a previous relationship.
