NHL: Seider continues to slide with the Red Wings

As of: March 9, 2024 10:29 a.m

National player Moritz Seider is sliding ever deeper into crisis with the Detroit Red Wings.

The team around the German runner-up lost 4-0 to the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday night (March 8, 2024) and suffered their fourth defeat in a row in the NHL professional ice hockey league.

Harsh accusations from Coach Lalond

Detroit conceded 20 goals during the series of defeats. Arizona, long out of the playoff race, had previously lost seven times in a row at Mullett Arena at home.

It was still enough for the stumbling Red Wings. Red Wings coach Derek Lalond saw “no energy, easy goals conceded and a lack of effort”. Defender Seider was on the ice for 19:22 minutes, but only conceded one goal.

Now against the Vegas Golden Knights

Detroit continues its game against Stanley Cup winners Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday. The Red Wings are still in a playoff spot. Goalie Philipp Grubauer sat on the bench for the Seattle Kraken and watched as a spectator as his team suffered a 3-0 defeat at home against the Winnipeg Jets.
