German ice hockey star Leon Draisaitl achieved a hard-fought victory with the Edmonton Oilers.
The Canadians won against the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 (0-0, 2-1, 0-1, 1-0), but needed overtime, in which Draisaitl scored the decisive goal through Evan Bouchard.
The Cologne native had previously given the Oilers the lead in the power play. The striker extended his series, with Draisaitl always scoring in the last eight games. In total, the German has nine goals and seven assists so far.
Edmonton moved into sixth place in the West with its sixth win in its 13th game.
