Finnish NHL goalkeeper Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is injured, says The Athletic.

Buffalo Sabers’ first goalkeeper arrived, according to The Athletic, injured in the club’s training camp earlier this week.

The cause, severity or recovery length of the injury is not yet known.

Sabers reacted quickly to the Finnish bag by acquiring Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks last season Aleksandr Georgiev. The contract will cover next season.

Luukkonen signed a long extension agreement with the buffalo club last year. The new contract extends until summer 2029.

Finns earn $ 4.75 million, or well over four million per season.
