The NFL announced the schedule for the 2025 season during the night. A few prestigeduels and a spectacular playoff rematch occur directly in week 1.
As has been known for a few days, Super-Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will open the 2025 season with a home game in the Lincoln Financial Field against the division rival Dallas Cowboys. In Germany, this prestiget duel rises on the night of September 5 from 2:20 a.m. and will be shown live at RTL and RTL+.
But perhaps the biggest cracker in week 1 should be the first Sunday night game, because in the meeting the Buffalo Bills on the Baltimore Ravens for the Rematch of the Vivisional Games. In addition, the Green Bay Packers will continue their rivalry with the Detroit Lions in front of a home backdrop directly at the start of the season.
The highlight from a German perspective is the first Berlin game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Falcons on November 9 (3:30 p.m. Live at RTL and RTL+). In addition to the usual three guest appearances in London, Dublin and Madrid will also enjoy two more new cities from the NFL for the first time.
Immediately in week 1, the second game in São Paulo is also the second game of the season. The Los Angeles Chargers will meet the Kansas City Chiefs in Brazil. NFL game schedule 2025: Kracher on the holidays
The fans of the NFL are offered special highlights this year on the holidays. Thanksgiving (November 27) is a prestiget duel between the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys (10:30 p.m.). But the other games on this most American of all holidays also have it all. The second game of the season between the Packers and Lions in Detroit (7 p.m.). NFL schedule 2025: Super-Bowl rematch in week 2
Perhaps the biggest highlight outside of the holidays will give us NFL in week 2. Then the chiefs receive the Eagles to the revenge of Super Bowl Lix. The game runs from 10:25 p.m.
Meanwhile, the guest appearance of the Pittsburgh Steelers at the New York Jets. Because in week 1 Aaron Rodgers could return to his previous place of work if he actually signs in the Steel City.
And the annual duel between Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen will take place this year on November 2 in week 9 (10:25 p.m.). It will also be the last duel between the two in the Highmark Stadium, because the Buffalo Bills get a new stadium in the 2026 season.
NFL schedule 2025: Then the Super Bowl rises
The Regular Season 2025 begins on September 5th of our time and ends with week 18 on January 4th. Afterwards, the playoffs with the Wildcard Weekend, the divisional game on January 17th and 18th and 18th January and Championship Sunday on January 25th.
As usual, the highlight of the 2025 season is Super Bowl LX in the Levi’s Stadium of San Francisco/California on February 8th.
