NFL playoffs: Mahomes and Kelce take Kansas to the Super Bowl

Defending champion Kansas City Chiefs are in Super Bowl LVIII. The team around superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce won the AFC finals against the Baltimore Ravens.

In the duel between the top quarterbacks on Sunday (January 28, 2024) in Baltimore, Mahomes had the better end compared to Ravens playmaker Lamar Jackson at 17:10.

In the rain in Baltimore, the Chiefs took the lead after a Mahomes pass to tight end Travis Kelce. The Ravens countered with Zay Flowers, who caught a 30-yard throw from quarterback Lamar Jackson. After a run by running back Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City restored their old lead and increased the lead to 17:7 with a field goal at halftime. In the second half, the Chiefs’ defense secured their place in the final. The Ravens only scored on a kick from Justin Tucker.

This is the Chiefs’ fourth Super Bowl appearance in the last five years.
