NFL blames the players

It’s been almost five months since the Super Bowl. NFL fans will still have images of players sliding in their minds. Both teams had big problems with the turf in Arizona. Now, however, it is reported that the league does not see the blame in the conditions of the lawn, but in the players themselves.

At least that’s what Mike Florio from “ProFootballTalk” reports. The NFL should therefore see the actors’ choice of shoes as the reason for the many slip-ups.

“The NFL has an unofficial apology for the situation that has been provided upon request from owners. According to a league source, the league holds players responsible for not wearing the correct shoes,” Florio said of his inside information.

A statement that should drive one or the other player up the wall. For example, last year’s Eagles safety CJ Gardner-Johnson reacted to “Twitter”: “Man, before the game I tried three different shoes! Even the cleats didn’t work! Please explain that,” explained the 25-year-old.

Much criticism of the allegation of the NFL

Some other players also immediately commented on the league’s allegation.

Meanwhile, Brandon Graham, part of the losing Eagles’ defensive line, is certain the slippery field played into the Chiefs’ hands. Kansas City was “blessed” by the space. The most dangerous line of defense last season in the Super Bowl could not record a single sack.

But it’s not necessarily like the Eagles are making excuses for their loss. The Chiefs are also surprised by the league’s accusation: “Huh??” Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdez-Scantling shows a lack of understanding for the reports, but adds “but who cares, we won”.

“You can tell there’s nothing more to report on TV. Man, it’s a whole new season,” said Eagles cornerback Darius Slay, meanwhile, surprised that the topic came up again.
