Alarm level yellow in the Norwegian biathlon team! After the sprint on Friday in Oslo, Ingrid Landmark tangled with some interview statements. Your trainer fades away, but the words of the 28-year-old are not allowed little room for interpretation.
Ingrid Landmark Tindrevold’s epidemic continued in the Oslo sprint on Friday. The nominal number one of the Norwegian biathlon women landed on the devastating 55th rank after three misconceptions and thus posted their worst placement since January 2021.
After the race, Tankrevold was deeply disappointed in the “Aftonbladet” interview and even left open whether she would continue her career after the season. “We’ll see,” said much uniquely when asked about her sporting future.
Biathlon star feels “no great motivation”
“At the moment I don’t feel a big motivation for a complete new training year. I have the feeling that I invested a lot of work last year, but I got very little back. Then you get to a point where you feel: How much should I put in if it does not produce any results?” Explained the visibly depressed Norwegian.
When asked whether the 2024/25 season would have been its last if Olympics were not on the program next year, she said: “I don’t know. We’ll see.”
The fact that the biathlon winter 2024/25 ends in a few days triggers mixed feelings at Tandrevold. On the one hand she was happy. “On the other hand, I have the feeling that I missed so much that I would like to go on. You can feel that more in you, it came out than came out,” said the 28-year-old, who had to take a long break due to heart problems this season.
Biathlon trainer knows nothing about resignation
Norway’s coach Patrick Oberegger, on the other hand, did not want to overestimate the words of his runner and suspected to “Dagbladet” that Tangrevold may only have spoken of the disappointment.
“It was a special year for Ingrid. She organizes her whole life after training. Sometimes things feel hopelessly. But that can change quickly. If you look at things with a little distance, you can see them a little differently,” said the coach, who asked if Tangrevold may have already informed him about her resignation, said: “No, no!”
