Hanover (dpa) – Hanover 96 has presented another newcomer: The Austrian Louis Schaub is moving from 1. FC Köln to the second division football team on a free transfer.
As the Lower Saxony announced, the 27-year-old signed a three-year contract. In the recently ended Bundesliga season, the midfielder made 28 appearances with one goal and two assists.
In 2018 he switched from Rapid Vienna to the then second-list from the Rhineland and was loaned out to Hamburger SV and FC Luzern in Switzerland. Schaub’s father Fred played for Hannover for two and a half years in the 1980s and was promoted to the Bundesliga with the club in 1985.
