The alternating poker around Alexander Isak is deported to the public mud fight between the player and his Newcastle United club. On Monday evening, the 25 -year -old striker spoke up on Instagram and explained that the collaboration could not be continued due to the promise that was not observed. The association also reacted with a statement that the conditions for a transfer this summer were not given.
“The reality is that promises have been made and the club has known my position for a long time. Now to pretend that these problems have only been emerging now, it is misleading. If promises are broken and trust is broken, the relationship cannot exist. That is my current situation, and therefore a change is in the best interest of everyone, not only in my own,” wrote Isak in his Instagram story.
The attacker has been courted by Liverpool FC for several weeks and he is pushing for a change to the English master. The Reds should be flashed with an offer of 138 million euros from Newcastle – it would be one of the highest sums that have ever been paid for a footballer. According to reports, Liverpool, which already invested more than 300 million euros in new additions in the 2025/26 season, looks away from another offer. Newcastle should show up to a conversation from a transfer fee of EUR 175 million, it was last said. However, the association made it clear that I did not want to submit Isak (contract until 2028).

Newcastle United reacts to ISAK statements and excludes changes
“We would like to make it clear that Alex continues to be under contract and that no club representative has ever agreed that Alex Newcastle United can leave this summer,” said the club on his website. “We want to keep our best players, but we also understand that players have their own wishes and we listen to their views. As we have explained Alex and his representatives, we always have to take into account the interests of Newcastle United, the team and our fans in all decisions, and we have made it clear that the conditions for a sale are not available this summer.”
The association does not assume that “these conditions are met”. Isak remains part of the family and will be welcome “if he is ready to return to his teammates”. At the league start at Aston Villa (0-0) on Saturday the goal scorer was not in the squad, and next Monday (9 p.m.) it will be against the Reds.
Last season, Isak Newcastle helped the Carabao Cup to win and 29 scorers in 34 league games for renewed qualifications for the Champions League. Its market value climbed from 75 million to EUR 120 million in the course of the season – it is one of the 15 most valuable players in the world. Two weeks before the end of the season, he is said to have informed coach Eddie Howe in a phone call to leave the club before disappearing into Sweden on vacation. The former Dortmund has blocked discussions about a new contract on improved conditions including the exit clause.
