The former City police officer and adult content creator Nicole Veron was once again at the center of the public scene after being arrested as part of the investigation into the fatal crash that occurred on the Riccheri Highwayat kilometer 23.6, in the jurisdiction of Ezeiza. The episode, which occurred this Wednesday, left the death of Hugo Javier Lopez48 years old, and also led to the seizure of a weapon of war, ammunition, drugs and elements compatible with the division of narcotics.
According to the preliminary reconstruction carried out by investigators, three vehicles were involved in the accident: one Ford Ecosport driven by López, a BMW in which Verón was traveling along with two other women and a Toyota Etios driven by a 48-year-old man identified by his initials WT. The BMW was driven by a 21-year-old girl identified as ES, while Nicole Verón was traveling in the passenger seat and in the back a 17-year-old teenager identified as MIS. For reasons that are still a matter of expert opinion, the three vehicles collided in a chain. As a result of the impact, López was thrown from the Ecosport and was found dead on the parked area bordering the highway. The driver of the Toyota was uninjured, while the occupants of the BMW suffered minor injuries.
The investigation took an unexpected turn when the troops working to preserve the scene detected movements considered suspicious on Verón’s part. According to the prosecutor’s accusation, the former member of the City Police would have entered a cell phone of the Argentine Federal Police and hidden there a Bersa BPP 9 millimeter Parabellum pistol. Subsequently, the agents found the weapon inside the patrol car with the magazine in place and eight intact projectiles in condition of use. That discovery led to a charge for alleged illegal possession of a weapon of war.
During the search carried out on the BMW, investigators also found narcotic substances and various fractionation elements. Although the authorities did not officially disclose the quantity or exact details of the seized substances, police actions indicated the presence of drugs along with elements usually used for the packaging and distribution of narcotics, a circumstance that led investigators to open a parallel case to determine if there were activities linked to drug dealing. Both the BMW and the seized items were at the disposal of the decentralized Functional Instruction Unit No. 2 of Ezeiza.
At this time, the prosecutor’s office is working on several hypotheses and ordered accidentological expert reports, toxicological analyzes and studies on the origin of both the weapon and the narcotics. Verón’s procedural situation was initially framed in the crimes of manslaughter, illegal possession of a weapon of war and illegal investigation, although the classification could be modified as the investigation progresses. Experts are also trying to establish precisely the speed at which the vehicles involved were traveling and the exact sequence that led to the tragedy.
Long before the accident, Nicole Verón had already acquired media notoriety for a controversy that shook the City Police. The then officer went viral after publishing erotic and suggestive content for subscription platforms and social networks using regulatory clothing of the force. Internal investigations determined that he appeared in recordings and photographs wearing a police uniform along with other people, a situation considered incompatible with the institution’s regulations. The case became massive on social networks, where it accumulated thousands of followers and significant media coverage.
The Buenos Aires force began administrative actions when Verón was on medical leave. During the internal investigation, accounts and profiles associated with the agent were detected where she appeared using identifiable elements of the City Police. The officer argued in her defense that she had begun to produce this material due to financial problems derived from the salary reduction she suffered during her leave and reported that she was going through health problems linked to episodes of gender violence suffered with a former partner. He even publicly stated that he had received millions in income from the commercialization of that content.
Finally, in November 2025, the City Police decided to expel her from the institution. The administrative resolution held that his conduct was incompatible with the ethics, decorum and values that should govern police actions, in addition to considering that he had improperly used the uniform and elements associated with public service. The controversy transcended the disciplinary scope and even led to judicial presentations to analyze whether other crimes could exist behind the commercial exploitation of this content. Since then, Verón continued to develop her activity as a creator of adult content and maintained intense exposure on social networks, where she continued to show a lifestyle associated with high-end vehicles and provocative publications.
Now, the Riccheri fatal accident once again placed his name at the center of the public agenda, although this time in a complex criminal file that combines a death in a road accident, the discovery of a weapon, ammunition and drugs, and a series of questions that Justice seeks to clarify to determine the degree of responsibility of each of the occupants of the BMW and the circumstances that led to the death of Hugo Javier López.
