New Yorker launches sports label

With Studio 71, the Braunschweig fashion manufacturer New Yorker is expanding its own brands to include a sports label, as the company announced on Thursday. The name of the women’s label, which “combines functionality, comfort and design”, is a reference to the year the company was founded, 1971.

Studio 71’s first sports collection focuses on soft colors and flowing cuts that are tailored to current sports trends such as yoga, Pilates, barre and functional training. The collection includes the full range of products – from sports leggings, shorts and flared yoga pants to basic tops and T-shirts in various variations to functional sports jackets, sports bras, wrap tops, one-piece suits and even shoes. Accessories such as socks, sports bags, caps, hairbands and drinking bottles are also part of the collection.

In terms of color, the collection is based on classics such as black and white and complements these with beige, rosé, gray blue, burgundy red, baby pink, chocolate brown and navy blue.

The price of the collection ranges between 4.99 euros for a hair band and 29.99 euros for sports shoes.
