New York Giants are “fed up” with Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones signed a $160 million contract with the New York Giants almost exactly a year ago. A step that the NFL team now apparently deeply regrets.

Rich Eisen reported on this year’s Scouting Combine for “NFL Network” the previous week. During the event, he heard several rumors. One of them concerns Daniel Jones and should certainly cause the person concerned to be upset.

“The Giants are definitely fed up with Daniel Jones,” Eisen claimed on Monday’s edition of “The Rich Eisen Show.” On March 7, 2023, the New Yorkers had their supposed franchise quarterback sign a four-year contract for 160 million.

According to Eisen, those responsible at the G-Men are now evaluating this decision critically. “The words I heard several times at the combine were ‘buyer’s remorse,'” the journalist continued.

Giants GM Joe Schoen said last week that he expected Jones to be the team’s starter after recovering from his torn ACL. The general manager did not criticize the currently injured playmaker.

“You have to say what you say publicly,” Eisen countered on Monday. Incidentally, the NFL reporter tore the Giants apart shortly after Jones signed last year for the costly extension with the former first-round pick.

NFL: Jones didn’t justify Paycheck

Last season, Eisen certainly saw his opinion of Jones confirmed. The signal caller only played six NFL games before tearing his ACL, winning only one.

Jones also completed passes for 909 yards and just two touchdowns (with six interceptions) in these six games. For comparison: In the 2022 season, the now 26-year-old led the Giants into the playoffs with a record of 9-6-1. Along the way, he produced a total of 15 TDs through the air and seven more on the ground with five interceptions.
