Mayor Margo Mulder of Bergen op Zoom has issued a ban on gatherings in the area around the Turkish bakery Asya at Ericalaan 49 where a fireworks bomb exploded on Sunday evening. That then led to a fire and broken windows.
This evening, heavy fireworks were set off again and the area was restless. Construction fences have now been placed in front of the bakery. The ban on gatherings applies until midnight on Thursday, January 2. This concerns the area between Ericalaan, Gentiaanstraat, Esdoornstraat, Plataanstraat, Acacialaan, Beukstraat and Vijverberg.
