The German record champion wants to sign the VfB attacker. From Stuttgart, however, other signals now come.
The transfer poker around Nick Woltemade apparently goes into the next round: Now sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth von Woltemades Klub VfB Stuttgart has expressed the continued advertising of FC Bayern Munich for the German international. And has a clear position: “No” Wohlgemuth replied to the reporter question whether he is expecting a Woltemade party this summer.
Even more: The German football record champion had “his interest”, the 46-year-old continued at the start of training of the cup winner in front of around 1,000 fans. But: “We made a long -term agreement with Nick almost a year and a half ago and it existed,” said Wohlgemuth. “And that’s why we assume that Nick will also play football with us next season and can show our qualities with us.”
According to media reports, the 23-year-old should already agree with Bayern. The negotiation point between the Munich and Stuttgart club bosses is therefore the transfer fee. Over 30, 50, 80 or even 100 million euros as a bid or claim has already been cheerfully speculated.
VfB sports director Wohlgemuth did not want to answer the question of whether there was an offer from Bayern. “If discussions take place at all, it is one thing between the two clubs,” he said.
Woltemade will not make it cheaper that the need for Bayern on an offensive player due to the serious violation of Jamal Musiala. Understandably, the media interest in the summer hole is great, said Wohlgemuth. “Then one or the other statement clasps a little more than in other phases within the season,” he said, “but that doesn’t change the facts.”
The striker of Werder Bremen had moved to VfB free of charge last summer. His contract in Stuttgart runs until the end of June 2028. After difficult first months in the country, Woltemade under coach Sebastian Hoeneß had developed into a trump card in the second half of the season.
