New separate cycle path in Don Boscolaan ready

Previously, all traffic was mixed in the narrow Don Boscolaan, resulting in many conflicts. Cyclists and walkers barely had room between the cars. Axel Weydts, alderman for Mobility: “In recent years, considerable investments have already been made in the school environment of Don Bosco and Kinderland. With the new cycle path behind the row of trees, the Don Boscolaan is really much safer than before. But the roads to the schools were also much safer. New separate cycle paths on the N43, a cycle street on Sint-Anna and a completely renovated Kapellepad are major investments for this area.”

Tuur Ottevaere, director of Don Bosco College: “The Parent Council and school are pleased that the traffic situation for cyclists in the Don Boscolaan has become a lot safer. We have also regularly consulted the city services about this.”
