New job? Joachim Löw traded at top club

Joachim Löw has been without a job since his departure as national team coach. Now the 2014 world champion coach is being traded to a top Italian club.

The portal “calciomercato.com” connects Löw with SSC Napoli.

The Italian champions are currently only in fifth place in Serie A. In the Champions League, the traditional club has a record of one win and one defeat. Head coach Rudi Garcia is said to be shaky around three months after taking office.

According to the media report, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has Antonio Conte on his list. The 54-year-old was released by Tottenham Hotspur in March and has been without a club since then.

In addition to Conte, “calciomercato.com” names Walter Mazzarri, Marcelo Gallardo, Graham Potter, Julen Lopetegui and Löw as potential candidates for SSC Napoli. Master coach Luciano Spalletti left the southern Italians in the summer and is now on the sidelines for the Italian national team.

New coaching job? Joachim Löw feels motivated

After his departure from the DFB in the summer of 2021, Löw emphasized that he wanted to continue his coaching career.

“I feel motivated again when I watch football now – that wasn’t the case for a few months,” the 63-year-old emphasized in an interview with “kicker” a year ago. “If I have the feeling that a task would appeal to me, I am ready and attack again,” said Löw at the time.

The Black Forester looked after the German national team as national coach from 2006 to 2021. Löw previously worked as an assistant coach under Jürgen Klinsmann for two years. His greatest success was the 2014 World Cup triumph in Brazil. After the round of 16 exit at the 2021 European Championships, it was over for him.
