Liam Kirk scored a hat trick, Leonhard Pföderl scored twice. Kai Wissmann, Zach Boychuk, Ty Ronning and Blaine Byron contributed the remaining goals to the capital city team’s sweeping victory in the league classic.

The 11,779 spectators in the Mannheim Arena saw an intense, at times heated encounter from the start. Both teams missed a few chances before Wissmann scored for Berlin in the 19th minute.
