The French sporting goods provider Salomon has appointed Nick Parkinson’s global brand creative director. The company, which belongs to the Finnish Group Amer Sports Inc., announced the appeal in a post in the LinkedIn business network.

The experienced design expert came from the US sporting goods giant Nike Inc., in which he had held various management posts in the design departments of the Nike and Converse brands in the past 14 years. Most recently, he worked as a global senior creative director of the Nike Running division.

At Salomon, Parkinson’s in his new role will work closely with the management and the product development team to develop a convincing creative brand strategy that should include all communication channels, platforms, sales channels and regions.

Scott Mellin, the Global Chief Brand Officer from Salomon, explained the personnel decision. “Nick is a super -inspired creative. “After talking to some of the best creatives in the industry, I am confident that Nick will give the necessary drive to realize our goals across the entire customer journey.”
