British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak appointed Gavin Williamson two weeks ago as a so-called ‘minister of state without portfolio’, an important position in the government, but Williamson announced his resignation on Tuesday evening. The reason is the many stories about Williamson’s bullying behavior that have started doing the rounds in recent days. In his letter to Sunak, Williamson writes that he “wants to clear his name of any wrongdoing”.
