“I am completely over the moon,” says a relieved Theo Kroon today on NH Radio. Earlier this month, the passionate volunteer was very concerned about his beloved foundation, which collects, refurbishes and maintains three antique fire trucks and other historical equipment.

The foundation would be evicted from its space in December, meaning that the valuable objects – including a car from 1948 – were in danger of ending up on Marktplaats or even on the street. “Over my dead body! If necessary, I will sleep in it!”, Kroon said at the time.

Successful call

To find a solution, the foundation placed a call on NH Helpt, hoping that someone could make a new space available for the vintage cars.

That call turned out to be a bull’s eye. He was picked up by a woman who can rent out a business space in Ankeveen to the foundation for the next two years, just a fifteen-minute drive from Hilversum. “So you can see that such a video works,” says Kroon with satisfaction.
