Influencer Marlon Kempenaar and oliebollen baker Anneke Eckelboom from Oss created the food hype of 2025: the spicy chili-cheese oliebol. The oliebol is full of melted cheese on the inside, is sprinkled with grated cheese and gets a dash of crunchy chili oil on top of the bun as a finishing touch. Followers on TikTok are very enthusiastic about the oliebol: some indicate that they are even willing to drive for hours to taste this viral snack.
