Two duels, six points and a goal difference of 9-1. NEC, too strong for Excelsior (5-0) last week, is doing well for the time being. Nevertheless, the club from Nijmegen had a hard time in the opening phase with Heracles, which lost to FC Utrecht last week (4-0).
Jizz Hornkamp gave Heracles the lead in the second minute (1-0). The same striker duped his team in the thirteenth minute. He had to go off the field with a red card after a hard tackle on Sami Ouaissa. Heracles lost the initiative without Hornkamp. NEC had a chance to win and in the end it was Bryan Linssen who tied in the 39th minute.
Goalkeeper Fabian de Keijzer kept Heracles in the game for a long time with a number of excellent saves. But he too could not prevent Philippe Sandler from scored twice more and Kento Shiogai.
