Nearly 4,000 new places in childcare in the coming years: “Across Flanders and in Brussels”

In the coming years, at least 3,936 new places with an income rate in childcare will be added throughout Flanders and Brussels. This was announced by Minister of Welfare Caroline Gennez (Vooruit). Almost half of those approved spots will already be filled in 2026 and 2027. But what about the rest of its ambitious plan to create a total of 10,000 new places by 2029?
