NBA: Schröder leads Raptors to victory

Second win in the fifth game: World champion Dennis Schröder led the Toronto Raptors back on the road to success in the NBA with a strong performance.

After three defeats in a row, the Canadians landed a 130:111 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks in the North American professional basketball league. The German national team captain scored a double-double with 24 points and 11 assists.

The Raptors laid the foundation for their surprisingly clear success with a brilliant first half, after which Toronto led 66:44. The hosts’ best thrower was Pascal Siakam with 26 points. It was the second defeat of the season for Milwaukee around superstars Giannis Antetokounmpo (16 points) and Damian Lillard (15).

Dallas Mavericks continue without defeat

Meanwhile, Maxi Kleber celebrated a 114:105 win against the Chicago Bulls with the Dallas Mavericks – and thus his fourth win in the fourth game. This time, Luka Doncic remained relatively pale with 18 points, while Kleber didn’t record a point in his four minutes of playing time.

Meanwhile, Daniel Theis was just a spectator in the Indiana Pacers’ fourth game. The Pacers lost 104:155 to the still unbeaten Boston Celtics (4-0), with coach Rick Carlisle once again not relying on the German world champion. For the Pacers, after two wins at the start, it was the second defeat in a row.

Isaiah Hartenstein also came away empty-handed with the New York Knicks. The 25-year-old and his team lost 89:95 against the Cleveland Cavaliers and went without a point in 16 minutes, but collected six rebounds. After five games, the Knicks now have two wins and three defeats.
