Around the Keukenhof local residents did the same. That also gave the Zandvoorters the idea.
Forcing the municipality to measures
According to a resident of the Parkbuurt, the municipality promises to do everything against the nuisance, but so far too little happens. The parking rates were raised, but that seems to have no effect.
They see this as ‘the least radical measure’ to force the municipality to cross the bridge and have been doing this since April. On busy days, usually during the weekends, they close the neighborhood digitally for a few days. Yesterday, for example, the streets were ‘closed’, today we were ‘open’ again.
Alderman Gert-Jan Bluijs reacted very irritated. He thinks they are now saddling other neighborhoods with traffic problems. In response, he has therefore had signs placed on the access roads of Zandvoort with the text: ‘Navigation out, P-route follow’. In Dutch and German.
