National athlete Selçuk Can won the gold medal in the Greco-Roman style 72 kilo category at the European Wrestling Championship held in Romania.
In the organization held in the capital Bucharest, Selçuk Can faced Azerbaijani Ulvi Ganizade in the final of the Greco-Roman style 72 kilo category.
Beating his opponent 2-0, 28-year-old Selçuk Can won the gold medal.
Azerbaijani Ulvi Ganizade won the silver medal in the same weight, while Narek Oganian and Ukrainian Parviz Nasibov, who participated in the organization individually, won the bronze medals.
Additionally, in the Greco-Roman style 67 kilo category, Murat Fırat succeeded in winning the bronze medal by beating his Armenian opponent Slavik Galstyan 5-4.
