National weightlifters won 310 medals, 147 of which were gold, 85 silver and 78 bronze, in the international organizations they participated in throughout the year.

Federation president Talat Ünlü, whose views were included in the statement of the Turkish Weightlifting Federation, stated that the successes achieved were not a coincidence and said, “2025 has been a historic year for Turkish weightlifting. Thanks to the determination of our athletes, the efforts of our coaches and the devoted work of our technical team, we have achieved a great success in the international arena. The records broken in the world and European championships, the medals won and the stable results in every age category are the most concrete indicators that we are progressing with correct planning. Ünlü stated that Turkish weightlifting continues its steady march and said:

“These results once again demonstrated that Türkiye is taking firm steps forward in the weightlifting branch with proper planning at both the infrastructure and elite levels. Turkish Weightlifting Federation aims to raise its international success chart every year with its management, athletes, coaches and technical team. Turkey will continue to have a say in weightlifting in the future as it does today.”

World championship: 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals were obtained. Muhammed Furkan Özbek broke the world record and brought Türkiye its first world championship in the senior category after 16 years.

European championship: 8 gold, 7 silver, 4 bronze

Balkan championship: Turkey finished the organization at the top with 21 gold, 13 silver and 7 bronze medals.

Islamic Solidarity Games: 13 gold, 5 silver, 3 bronze

World championship: 1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze

European junior and under 23 championships: 19 gold, 19 silver, 12 bronze
