On the second day of the European Weightlifting Championship held in Armenia, national athlete Muammer Şahin won the silver medal.
The Senior European Weightlifting Championships continues in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Muammer Şahin, who competed for Turkey on the second day of the organization, in which 318 athletes, 172 women and 146 men from 40 countries, participated, won the silver medal with his 112-kilogram lift in the snatch.
The national athlete achieved 130 kilograms in the clean and jerk and 242 kilograms in total.
