The words of the former Viola Primavera coach, now at Roma, on the new Fiorentina coach Fabio Grosso

“My 12 years in Florence were intense and wonderful. I coached from the very young up to the Primavera and many of the boys I raised in those years are now playing important fields. Two expert teams reached the final and I must congratulate the club and all the Viola staff for a wonderful year. In this regard, I consider the reform of the second teams necessary: the step between Primavera and Serie A today is too high and many kids get lost in loans, where coaches often use them only for the immediate result.”
