On August 23, Tesla sent an email to its customers to inform them about the invitation to the Cybertruck event. The email was quickly shared by Tesla owners on various social networks including Reddit and X, formerly Twitter.

Tesla owners can earn points through the referral program by directing others to purchase a Tesla vehicle or Tesla energy product. These points can then be exchanged for various rewards. For example, purchasing a Tesla Model S or X through a referred contact is worth 20,000 points, while purchasing a Model 3 or Y is worth 10,000 points, CleanTechnica reports in an online post. The Company has established specific requirements for obtaining an invitation to the Cybertruck Delivery Event. This includes earning 30,000 points through the Tesla Referral Program, which can be viewed through the Tesla Mobile App, CleanTechnica said. At 30,000 points, Cybertruck event tickets are the most expensive option in the program’s current catalogue. This score equates to a value of around $2,500, as reported by Teslamag. Other products include the so-called “Giga beer”, which is only available in Europe and costs 1,500 points. Otherwise, three bottles would cost 89 euros, Teslamag continues.
The selection process and specific regulations
As the venue, Giga Texas, can only seat a limited number of attendees, there are some restrictions and conditions to be aware of, with tickets being allocated on a first come, first served basis, Teslamag reports. However, this selection process had already resulted in some fans being denied entry to the venue at last year’s Cyber Rodeo event.
However, this time it is permitted that each invited person has the opportunity to bring an additional person, which is known in the jargon as “+1”.
