The fiction was going to be sold to HBO but the platform would have canceled the project that was converted, in order not to lose the rights signed in 2019, into a film that will go to theaters, with the actress Valentina Zenere (ex “Casi ángeles”, has been installed in Spain for some years), in the skin of Galarza.
And now the producer kapow (the same as “Carmel: Who killed María Marta?”, which can be seen on Netflix) began production on a docureality with 2 episodes of an hour and a half each, with Galarza as the central character, with current recorded testimonies in prison.
For these two productions, Nair Galarza would have received the full amount of $500,000 in exchange for assigning the rights (300,000 for the first production and another 200,000 for the second). But besides that, the Mexican producer TBS from Mexico (which produced the “Maradona” series), is preparing a miniseries also based on the Galarza case, and Pampa Films and Amazon Prime Video they would have other projects in the making.
Projects that he would use as a source “Nahir’s silence, chronicle of a media lynching”, the book by Galarza’s manager and former spokesperson, Jorge Zonzini, that counts the “Side B” of the case. According to the manager, the first project “was financially negotiated by Nahir’s father, prior to the complaint that she filed against her as the perpetrator of the crime.”
“That is why a precautionary measure weighs on that negotiation today, since it was carried out with Nahir in captivity, and she did not see any of that money. She could be part of the coercion with which her father always dealt with his daughter, to the point of forcing her to incriminate herself,” Zonzini says.
The second project, the docureality of kapow, would have left Nahir more satisfied. The negotiation was carried out directly with her. She was interviewed throughout 2022 in Unit No. 6 of Paraná, where she is currently detained, and where yesterday they started shooting other parts of his story.
