Nagelsmann with a great comeback? That’s the situation

Could FC Bayern make a spectacular comeback in the summer? In recent days there has been speculation about a second term in office for Julian Nagelsmann in Munich. But the personnel on Säbener Straße are apparently not hot.

According to “Sky”, Nagelsmann’s potential return to FC Bayern is currently “not a hot topic”.

The 36-year-old currently looks after the German national team. The collaboration has so far been planned until the home European Championships in the summer. It cannot be ruled out that Nagelsmann will then return to club football.

The national coach was on the sidelines at FC Bayern until last March. At the time, the Munich team surprisingly decided to separate for many observers. Thomas Tuchel was installed as his successor.

However, the paths between FC Bayern and the 50-year-old parted ways again at the end of the season. The second-placed team in the Bundesliga is consequently looking for a new coach again.

Xabi Alonso is considered FC Bayern’s preferred candidate

“Bild” reporter Christian Falk recently reported on “Welt TV” that a Nagelsmann comeback at FC Bayern was “not ruled out”. Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen is currently considered the preferred candidate at Säbener Straße. “Sky” also brought Roberto De Zerbi from Brighton & Hove Albion into play as an alternative.

“We want to find a coach who fits Bayern Munich, including the ideas of Christoph Freund and me,” said Munich’s new sports director Max Eberl, describing the search for a new trainer on Tuesday morning as part of his presentation.

The 50-year-old continued: “We need stars, but we also need young, hungry talents. We don’t want to limit ourselves in our choices. Bayern Munich is a great address. The task over the next few months is to find the pieces of the puzzle: club, players and coaches to put together.”
