Well now (!) the legendary ‘Ierse Berm’ obstacle on Waregem Koerse has been diluted. This is the most opportune rule of thumb in the organization that needs to be taken into consideration with the Vlaams Minister van Dierenwelzijn Ben Weyts and in the ‘ongelukkige’ editie afgelopen zomer waarbij twee Paarden om het leven kwamen. “That was a good idea, also for the organization,” says ondervoorzitter Thierry Storme. “We work then and we also have the rules that we can use to ensure security.”
