Canadian hockey legend Marc-André Fleury40, makes one more return to the NHL ice.
After last season, the goalkeeper, who has finished his career, joins the Pittsburgh Penguins training strength and guarded the team’s goal in a training match against Columbus Blue Jackets on September 27.
Fleury does not return to Penguins as a long-time player, but is a symbolic return that gives him the opportunity to end his long and successful NHL career right where it all started.
The agreement is a so -called “trial contract”.

Fleury played in the Penguins 13. The goalkeeper won the Stanley Cup three times in the club and is the number one goalkeeper in the team’s history, both in the regular season and the playoffs.
After the last championship, Fleury first headed to Vegas Golden Knights and in recent years represented Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild.
Last season, Fleury played 26 matches in Wild’s shirt and won 14 wins.
The Canadian goalkeeper played 1,052 matches during his NHL career, collecting 575 wins.
