Already on July 2, Customs found 220 kilos of cocaine in a container with bananas from Peru. After the drugs were intercepted, the container was transported to Belgium. The load was then taken to a shed in Zeewolde on July 24. Men from Diemen, Lelystad, Amsterdam, Zwolle and Purmerend of between 26 and 63 years were arrested. Two firearms were found in their vehicles, including an automatic weapon.
On July 11, Customs found 380 kilos of cocaine in two containers with tree trunks from Brazil. One of those containers was brought to Breda a week later. During the unloading, men between 27 and 44 years old from Schiedam, Vlaardingen and Dordrecht were arrested, as well as a suspect without a permanent place of residence or residence.
The OM also reports that this Tuesday 54 kilos of cocaine was also found in the construction of a container from Ecuador. As far as we know, nobody was arrested for this. The container with bananas was on the way to a company in Poland, but according to the OM has nothing to do with the drug smuggling.
