Mayor of Ostend, John Crombez, officially wiped the plans during the city council to move the Mu.zee to the Thermae Palace Hotel on the Dijk in Ostend of the table. The museum closed at the end of March in preparation for the renovation works, which will last three years. As a result, paintings from the Museum of Modern Art are currently distributed oven various depots and exhibitions. Moreover, the Thermae Palace is also undergoing renovation work, and the building will not be ready within three years.
