MSV Duisburg’s Maluze is looking for a new club: “Don’t be afraid of big names”

Regular in MSV-U19

In the A-Junior Bundesliga West, the U19s of MSV Duisburg came in a good fifth place and, with 19 goals conceded in 15 games, provided one of the best defenses of the season. Jeremiaha Maluze, who came from SG Unterrath the previous summer and immediately established himself as a regular player, was partly responsible for this. After his contract expires in the summer, Maluze will probably leave the “Zebras” and is currently looking for a club. “I really hope that I can find a coach and club where I’ll get a real chance and get further training to get closer to my dream, step by step,” he told Transfermarkt.

Maluze is grateful to the MSV for the year, the training and the experience gained: “I was able to learn a lot under Engin Vural and take it with me. I’m not afraid of big names and compete against everyone. I work and train very hard and will give my all for my upcoming club. I’m hot, hungry and ready. Of course I still have a lot to learn and improve on, so I’m open to that. But I’m also aware of what I bring to the table as a coach and as a team.”

According to TM information, there have been offers for Maluze from top league clubs, from the regional league seasons North and West and clubs from the Netherlands and Belgium, including U21 teams from Dutch first and second division clubs. When asked by TM, his agency “Prime11” wrote: “Of course, Jeremiah’s dream would be to take the next step with a U23 Bundesliga team, but life isn’t just a request concert. We had and are still having very good discussions. What’s important is that the boy gets a real chance, a coach to help him and under whom to play.”

Nigerian Football Association invited MSV Duisburg’s Maluze

The agency describes its client as “great type and character. A positive firebrand who throws everything in, who can enthuse fans and team with his tough but fair style of play. He has a brutal physique and, at 1.93 meters, is the perfect defensive all-rounder. He can play in the center of defence, but also in defensive midfield or on the right flank. He has a good header, speed and can play a part in the build-up with his passes. Of course he still has to be trained and learn more, but his fighting spirit and this dedication to the team – not every 19-year-old has that. Jeremiah just has it in his blood.”

The Nigerian Football Association has also noticed the qualities and invited Maluze, whose father is from the country, to a training session including a test match for the U23s. The defensive talent says about it: “The inquiry about my advisor is something very special for me and I’m very excited to see how the whole thing develops. At the moment I’m also focusing on my school-leaving certificate in the summer and my driver’s license. Two important things that I want to finish clean and well.”
