The record champions are about to sign Frankfurt’s Nathaniel Brown. It could become the most expensive departure in the club’s history. Only one question of detail still separates the clubs from the agreement.
According to a report in the Bild newspaper, Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt are close to reaching an agreement on the transfer of full-back Nathaniel Brown. The transfer fee should be just under 65 million euros including bonuses – the breakdown of the fixed payment and bonuses is still open.
The breakthrough in the negotiations was achieved by Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche and his Munich colleague Max Eberl. Brown himself has not commented on his future. The 22-year-old said in a media round last Thursday: “I’m fully concentrating on the World Cup. That’s why I won’t comment on it.”
The national player is expected to be in the starting line-up for Germany’s World Cup opener against Curaçao on Sunday. Frankfurt signed Brown from 1. FC Nürnberg in January 2024 for three million euros.
